About This Exhibition
A reexamination of the legendary 1971 De Luxe Show — the first major racially integrated art exhibition in America, held in a repurposed movie theater in Houston's Fifth Ward. Organized by Peter Bradley, it showed abstract art by Black and white artists side by side, years before most museums would consider it.
